How to stream NFL playoff games (and the Super Bowl) for free

There’s great news for football fans who want to catch all the playoff games no matter where they are – and for free.

Yahoo announced that they will stream all NFL games starting this month, which means all divisional playoff games (which start this weekend), the conference championships, the Pro Bowl game and the Super Bowl.

The games can be streamed on the Yahoo Sports app regardless of your mobile network and whether or not you have a cable account.

The app is available for iOS and Google Play.

How to do it

Go to your app store and search for Yahoo Sports. The result will say “Yahoo Sports: Football and more.”

Install.

Open the app and click “Get Started” if you’d like to personalize the app by picking your favorite sports and teams. You can also click “Watch Live” in the first screen to start watching.

From any screen on the app, the menu bar along the bottom of the screen will give you the “Watch” option.

You don’t have to sign in with a cable or satellite account, or a mobile network account.
The schedule so far

Saturday: Falcons vs. Eagles at 4:35 p.m. EST (also on NBC) and Titans-Patriots at 8:15 p.m. (also on CBS).

Sunday: Jaguars vs. Steelers at 1:05 p.m. (alson on CBS) and Saints vs. Vikings at 4:40 p.m. (also on Fox).

The conference championship games are on Jan. 21, and the Pro Bowl is Jan. 28.

The Super Bowl is Feb. 4.

Next season, Verizon, which owns Yahoo, says it will also stream preseason games, Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, local market games and playoff matches.
